CV Writing Services in Saudi Arabia
Written from scratch by former HR professionals and recruiters, for professionals already building a career inside the Kingdom. Saudi national or expat on a current iqama, the screening reality is the same, and your CV has to survive it.
Careerzooom writes CVs for professionals already based in Saudi Arabia. Every document is written from scratch by a former HR professional or recruiter with live Gulf hiring experience, never generated by an AI tool. We have worked with 53,000+ professionals across the region since 2007, and 84% of clients receive interview requests after a professional rewrite.
Saudi hiring changed materially in 2026. The Nitaqat framework entered a new three-year cycle, quota thresholds rose across most sectors, and contract documentation on Qiwa became the single point that decides whether an employee counts toward their employer's compliance at all. If you are job-hunting inside the Kingdom right now, that shifts what a competitive CV has to do.
WHO THIS IS FOR
Two audiences, one screening process:
Saudi nationals applying to roles in the Kingdom — More positions are opening to you by regulation. That raises the bar against other Saudi candidates, not against expats.
Expatriate professionals already working in Saudi Arabia — You hold the structural advantage over overseas applicants. What you often lack is a CV that reflects what you have delivered here, rather than the role that first brought you in.
WHAT CHANGED IN SAUDI HIRING, AND WHY IT LANDS ON YOUR CV
Three shifts matter to anyone job-hunting inside the Kingdom this year.
The Nitaqat cycle reset. In April 2026, MHRSD launched a new three-year phase running through 2028. The underlying formula is unchanged, but the sector constants that drive required localisation percentages were raised and the band thresholds moved up. A company whose Saudi-to-expatriate ratio stayed flat may have dropped a band without doing anything differently. The stated national target is more than 340,000 additional localised private-sector jobs by 2028.
Qiwa documentation became the deciding factor. From 15 April 2026, a Saudi employee only counts toward their employer's Saudisation percentage if their contract is electronically documented and authenticated on the Qiwa platform. GOSI registration alone is no longer enough. There was no grace period.
Profession-level quotas replaced blanket compliance. Roughly 269 professions now sit under specific localisation quotas rather than a single company-wide percentage: dentistry, pharmacy, accounting, technical engineering, marketing and sales, procurement, and 41 tourism roles phased in from 22 April 2026 at rates between 30% and 100%. A further 69 administrative roles sit at full localisation.
There is also no Yellow band. Establishments that once sat there are treated as Red, which removes the warning zone that used to buy an employer time before restrictions applied.
So what does that mean for you?
If you are Saudi: employers now have a documented, auditable incentive to hire you and to keep your contract properly registered. That is real leverage, but it works in your favour only at the point where an employer is already reading your CV.
If you are an expat here: your employer's band affects your renewal and your ability to transfer. If your profession is one of those under a rising quota, competition for the remaining roles is tighter, and a vague CV is punished harder than it was two years ago.
CV WRITING SERVICES IN RIYADH, JEDDAH AND THE EASTERN PROVINCE
(Expanded, since no dedicated city pages are planned — this section now carries the Riyadh/Jeddah/Dammam keyword weight directly)
Saudi Arabia does not hire as one market. A CV built for a Riyadh consultancy and one built for a Jeddah logistics operator should not read the same way, even when the underlying career is identical.
CV writing services in Riyadh serve a market dominated by government entities, consulting firms, banking and professional services. Riyadh recruiters read for formal structure, regulatory and policy fluency, and impact quantified at organisational scale. A Riyadh-facing CV that reads casually, however strong the achievements, tends to underperform against one that reads like it belongs in that room.
CV writing services in Jeddah work against a different backdrop: trade and logistics, retail and FMCG, construction, and hospitality. Jeddah employers respond to operational results stated plainly, project-level specificity, and evidence of adapting across a commercial, coastal economy. The formality that lands in Riyadh often reads as stiff here.
CV writing services in Dammam and Khobar, the Eastern Province's industrial core, sit in energy, petrochemicals, engineering and contracting. These employers screen for technical depth, HSE and compliance record, and metrics tied to specific plants or assets — credentials and safety numbers that a generalist CV rarely surfaces on its own.
City | Dominant sectors | What gets a CV read |
|---|---|---|
Riyadh | Government, consulting, banking, professional services | Formal structure, regulatory and policy fluency, impact quantified at scale |
Jeddah | Trade and logistics, retail and FMCG, construction, hospitality | Operational results, project specificity, commercial adaptability |
Dammam and Khobar | Energy, petrochemicals, industrial engineering, contracting | Technical depth, HSE and compliance record, plant or asset-level metrics |
Careerzooom writes every CV around the city and sector it is actually aimed at, not a single Saudi template stretched across all three.
THE NON-NEGOTIABLES FOR A SAUDI-MARKET CV
Quantified achievement in the top third of page one. Recruiters here spend well under a minute on a first pass.
Nationality and iqama or transferable status stated plainly. Leaving it unsaid reads as a complication, not as discretion.
A job title that matches how the role is classified. With profession-level quotas now driving compliance, the wording of your title carries administrative weight it did not carry before.
Formatting built to survive an ATS scan. Most mid-size and larger Saudi employers screen electronically before a person opens the file.
Two pages as standard, longer at senior level.
A CV that slightly understates a claim is safer in Saudi Arabia than one that oversells it, particularly in regulated professions where documentation is checked against what is written on the page.
(Dev note: apply via editor Highlight button if <mark> doesn't auto-convert.)
IF YOU ARE A SAUDI NATIONAL
The localisation push works for you, and it is worth being clear-eyed about how. Regulation opens doors. It does not walk you through them. Employers filling newly localised roles are comparing Saudi candidates against other Saudi candidates, and the ones who lose out are almost always the ones whose CV leans on eligibility rather than evidence.
What consistently separates the shortlist from the pile is specificity: revenue influenced, teams built, systems implemented, cost removed, written in the language of your sector rather than in general professional vocabulary.
IF YOU ARE AN EXPAT ALREADY WORKING IN THE KINGDOM
The common problem is not a weak career. It is a CV still organised around the role that secured your original work visa, rather than what you have actually delivered since arriving.
Moving from a Jeddah trading role into Riyadh finance, stepping up from manager to director, or repositioning as your profession's localisation status tightens all require rebuilding the document around current, locally verifiable results.
This is also the point at which your LinkedIn profile starts carrying real weight, since employers in the Kingdom cross-reference candidates far more readily than an overseas recruiter can.
DOCUMENTATION AND LICENSING: WHAT GETS CHECKED AGAINST YOUR CV
Healthcare professionals are assessed against Saudi Commission for Health Specialties classification. Engineers are checked against Saudi Council of Engineers registration, now tied to a minimum salary threshold in several categories. Foreign qualifications generally require attestation before they are accepted at all.
None of this belongs spelled out in detail on the CV itself, that's a later conversation, but the CV should be written knowing the check is coming.
SENIOR AND EXECUTIVE MOVES
Senior appointments in the Kingdom carry higher stakes around discretion and how a leadership record translates to organisations operating at the scale of PIF-backed programmes, NEOM or Red Sea Global. Careerzooom has supported senior leadership moves inside the Kingdom for years — more care on positioning, not a different tier of service.

Frequently asked questions
Does Careerzooom guarantee a job in Saudi Arabia? No, and it's worth questioning anyone who says they can. Our role is the CV, LinkedIn profile and application strategy, the hiring decision is the employer's alone.
How does the Nitaqat system affect expat job applicants? Nitaqat governs how many Saudi nationals a company must employ, it doesn't remove expat opportunities outright, but it does mean certain professions are now Saudi-only and others require a stronger case for hiring an overseas candidate.
What's included in the Career Package? CV writing, cover letter, LinkedIn profile and promotion, plus job management and distribution, bundled together and starting from SAR 1,349.
